Alauddin, a Bangladeshi expatriate in Malaysia, has won the fifth plot in the 'Nagade Zamin' campaign. He won this award by participating in the country's biggest Eid campaign and sending remittances to the country.

Recently, Deputy Chief Marketing Officer of Nagad Mohammad Solaiman and popular actor Ziaul Haque Palash went to Malaysia and handed over the plot documents of Nagad to Alauddin. This is the first transfer of land to a diaspora under the 'Nagade Zamin' campaign. Eight lucky winners of this campaign will be gifted plots of land, and Alauddin was the fifth winner. Meanwhile, Nagad's national cricket team all-rounders Mahmudullah Riyad, Mehdi Hasan Miraj and world's best all-rounder and former captain Shakib Al Hasan have handed over Nagad's plot to some winners for Nagad campaign.

Expatriate Bangladeshis can participate in this campaign. Apart from the incentives announced by the government, anyone can win a plot in Dhaka by sending a minimum remittance of Tk 5000 through Nagad.

A resident of Munshiganj, Alauddin works in a service provider company in Malaysia. He has got a plot of land in Purbachal Probashi Palli by sending remittances to his mother's Nagad account in Bangladesh. Alauddin could not believe his eyes on the news of winning the plot of land from Nagad. As soon as he heard the news, he called his mother and told her about winning the land. Alauddin expressed his gratitude to Nagad as he was the owner of a piece of land in Dhaka. Sihab Uddin Chowdhury, deputy managing director of Nagad, said about the transfer of land, 'People who send remittances contribute a lot to our economy, they are one of the pillars of the country's economic development. This mega campaign is part of our small effort to honor expatriates. We are happy to hand over land to a remittance warrior.'
